Dalton Muscat Architects have worked with Heidi Bibby Interior Designer to create the Apex Coffee House set in the War Memorial garden at Lancaster Way Business Park in Ely. The very simple building form is clad in  vertical cedar and has large areas of glass providing uninterrupted views of the War Memorial Garden. Large overhangs provide space for summer seating, at the same time providing shading from the summer sun. A large mural of a Lancaster bomber landing on the runway at RAF Witchford covers the the blank interior flank wall opposite the servery setting the scene for this war themed coffee shop.
